Sheriff & Cherry
Creative director Mauro Massarotto and stylist Mark Vassallo founded the Sheriff & Cherry design studio in 2004. Their studio is mainly focused on product design, rebranding and fashion consultanty. In 2010 Mauro was working on a consult for an old optical factory in Croatia, founded in 1984. They where immediately seduced by the heritage and vintage charm of the old-school frames. Inspired by this vibe, the design duo went about customising the prototype to create classic frames with a quirky, irreverent twist.
Sheriff & Cherry rightly felt that there was a gap in the sunglass market for quality, off-the-wall, colourful frames at a good price. A lot of the designs are based on vintage style frames from the mid 60’s to the late 80’s. Heritage is a starting point in some of the styles, especially the magical energy of old factories but the approach is always forward. Design is innovation. Collaborations are must for Mauro and Mark. They work with lots of different creatives, keeping their work fresh.
We love the vibe around Sheriff & Cherry. The designs are authentic and fit in their style. Fashion, sport, vintage and party culture are reflected in the design and their lifestyle approach. Their happy, not pretentious, colourful frames. Wild beaches framed with turquoise water, at least that’s the vibe we get.
