Niccolò Pocchini founded Spektre sunglasses in 2009. He bought a pair of 5-pound sunglasses in London and everybody started asking him where it was made.
From that moment on, after 2 months of investigation through different manufacturers in Lombard and Venetia, he chose a manufacturer in Varese, where the sunglasses are still manufactured today.
By launching the brand as easy going, colourful and with a price advantage over other competitors, Spektre was quickly able to grab a large market share among the young and bloggers. Their presentation is simple and clean.
With these conditions Spektre has been able to grow with little publicity and maximum effort and expand their fanbase.
The choice of Latin names for sunglasses is nicely linked to the strong influence of Italian art, not surprisingly as this is a inspiration source for Niccolò.
Spektre’s aim is to offer the complete picture of the Made in Italy brand. That means to have a consistent aesthetic feel through a product entirely thought, designed and made in Italy. Effort, passion, know how and their personal touch, are the finishing ingredients.
What we love about Spektre are their vibrant colours and mirror glasses. The colour choices are interesting combined with well-shaped frames. Spektre doesn’t follow market or care about it, they just do what they like.
